Dear Esteemed Parents and Guardians,
We give special thanks to God Almighty who has made us see the light of this day and that has made this term a success.We appreciate Him for His protection, guidance and provision, which we enjoyed throughout the term.
We also use this medium to say a big thank you to all our wonderful parents and guardians for your usual and unfailing support given to us whenever we call, We pray that God will continue to provide, guide and protect you at all time.

We will like to bring to your notice the following:

v  FIRST TERM EXAMINATION
The first term examination commenced with the Nursery section on Thursday, November 21, 2019, and followed suit is those of the Primary and secondary on Monday, November 25, 2019. We bless God for providing wisdom, understanding and retentive memory to the pupils and students, who were able to answer questions, and above all, sound health and protection on us all, as we successfully completed the examination on Friday, November 29, 2019, which marks the end of first term for the session.

v  VACATION AND RESULT COLLECTION
We wish to inform you that our vacation date for the First Term, 2019/2020 academic session is Friday, December 6, 2019.The result for the term’s examination will be published on the school website www.lizdav.com.ng on Friday, December 6, 2019;Parents/Guardian can also come for their children scripts and result on the same day at 10a.m prompt.

v  RESUMPTION DATE FOR SECOND TERM 2019/2020
The resumption day for next term, being Second Term, 2019/2020 academic session is Monday, January 13, 2020. Parents are to bear in mind that normal school academic activities commence immediately upon resumption. Therefore, all learners are expected to be in school as the school resumes.

v  TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENTS
Please note that all the students and pupils have been given assignments to do during the holiday.We plead with you to please assist your children so that they can do thesehome works, as the assignments form part of their continuous assessment for the term.

v  COMMUNICATION BOOK
The Nursery and Primary communication books are medium of getting feedback from you (Parents/Guardians). We plead that as the pupils are on holiday, parents should find time to study the communication book and get back to the school if there is any observation.

v  P.T.A NEWS
The Parents-Teachers Association meeting for this term held on Saturday October 26, 2019, and witnessed a good response from the parents in attendance. Vital issues were presented and deliberated upon and decisions reached during the meeting, which have long been implemented in the school policy. We want to state that Parents/Guardians who have not been present or represented in P.T.A meetings should try to attend or improve on their attendance, as the meeting serves as a platform where important issues concerning our children and the school at large, are discussed and valuable decisions are made. Meanwhile the date for next term P.T.A meeting will be communicated to you through the “Resumption Newsletter” for next term.

v  2019 CHRISTMAS PARTY
This year’s Christmas party comes up on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the school premises. We pray for sound health, protection and wisdom to plan properly for the day to be a success.

v  JAMB EXAMINATION
Be informed that JAMB registration for year 2020 has not started. We shall get you informed as soon as we get notified by JAMB office. We thus encourage Parents/Guardians of our SSS3 students to bear this in mind and take advantage as soon as they are notified. The school earnestly appreciates such and desires that all the students concerned get admission into their various choices of Universities come 2020.

v  WAEC EXAMINATION
WAEC registration has long commenced, we implore parents and guardians who have not paid their child’s registration fees to kindly do so on or before December 10, 2019.

v  SSS 3 EXTRA MURAL CLASS
We also use this medium to notify/remind you that the SSS3 extra-mural class commenced onFriday, November 1, 2019 holding between3pm – 6pm. We will be going on break for the extra-mural class onFriday, November 29, 2019, however to resume January, 2020. Parents and Guardians please take note.

v  SCHOOL FEES
We sincerely appreciate all our Parents for the timely payments of their children’s school fees, particularly considering the current economic trend. It is our prayer that God will continue to enrich you. On the other hand, we would like to remind our parents who are still defaulting one way or the other to off-set their debt, as defaulters will be denied access to their children’s results online. Moreover, all defaulters are expected to pay up their fees as no defaulters; whether owing parts or whole will be allowed into the school by next term.
The school accounts detail are as stated below, Parents/Guardian are expected to commence payment of their children’s 2nd term’s school fees on or before resumption. The school has a tradition of embarking on school fee drive at the end of the first two weeks after resumption.

v  SCHOOL WEBSITE
We want to use this medium to still remind and encourage our wonderful Parents/Guardians to always visit the school website from time to time for important updates and also felicitate with our lovely children especially on their birthdays, results and also on Parents wedding anniversaries.

To this effect, we have included a Blog (online newspaper) to the website www.lizdav.com.ng/blog; where children’s’ birthdays and marriage anniversaries of parents and children are announced.Therefore Parents/Guardian are advised to update us with the following information:
§  Our students birthdays (Month and day only e.g. January 1st)
§  Parents/Guardian birthdays (Month and day only e.g. February 14th)
§  Parents/Guardian Marriage Anniversary dates (Month and day only e.g. June 24th)

v  SCHOOL BUS
Parents/Guardians whose children take the school bus services are to make their school bus fee payments into the school bank accounts stated above and should ensure they indicate school bus on the bank teller. Those whose bus fees are not paid for before resumption will not be allowed to enjoy the bus services.

v  CONCLUSION
Once again, we sincerely appreciate you, and our prayer for you is that God will continue to protect, guide and bless you.As we celebrate this season, all which is required to make the season worthwhile for you and your families will be provided supernaturally by God.
May He make your ways smooth in the coming year.

LIZDAV VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION

February 14 of every year is known round the world as the St. Valentine's day, a day set aside to keep the memory of the great Saint alive for his contribution towards love and humanity, as Valentines was a Roman Priest who defiled the Roman Empire decree that the young men will rather be enlisted into the army rather than get married, but he will prefer to marry them (the young men) and their loved ones secretly. And when he was caught, Valentines was tortured and Martyred for love, hence it necessitated this day be dedicated to him to keep a constant reminder that love conquers all. The St. Valentines day has become a global day set aside to celebrate love and humanity, and as such, LIZDAV Academy was not left out in the marking of such a great day.
